Nick Swisher Traded to the White Sox... :-(
Yep it's true. For 3 Triple A-er's no less. At least one of the new kids sounds promising & is fairly cute too! Meet Ryan Sweeney folks...

You must trust in Billy Beane. I like his strategy of making a run at things when he has the talent and being wise enough to sell high and buy low when things need tinkering. Players have to love it too; they know if they are in the minors they will get a chance to play and if they are really good then they know they will get traded to a decent ball club and try to win there.
Ha - I have a tee that says "In Billy We Trust" that the Athletics Nation put out a few years back; so yeah, I guess you could say that. Since publishing all his strategies in Moneyball though, he needs to prove that he still has some semblance of a grand scheme on the back burner though. I'm sick of missing out on the playoff's. I'll be able to follow them much closer this year so hopefully I'll get a nice view of his genius. Fingers crossed at least...
